Seasonal Summer Camp Positions


Camp Dart-Lo Day Camp

Camp Dart-Lo is located in North Spokane and gives staff the flexibility of living at home and spending days in the great outdoors with amazing kids! The application process typically opens in the early Spring for seasonal camp staff and amazing volunteer staff! Volunteers have the flexibility of staying for a week or for the summer.   • Pool Director 
  • Swim Counselor 
  • Mentor Counselor 

Volunteer positions Include: 

  • Health Care Manager
  • Program Specialist
  • Unit Counselor

Camp Sweyolakan Overnight & Day Camp

Camp Sweyolakan is located on the shores of Mica Bay on lovely Lake Coeur d'Alene in North Idaho. This boat-access only camp requires overnight camp staff to stay at camp for the duration of the season with several session breaks available to leave. Day Camp staff and volunteers have the flexibility of leaving camp each day.

Paid leadership positions include:

  • Assistant Camp Director
  • Waterfront Director
  • Food Service Director?
  • CIT (Counselor-in-Training) Director
  • Unit(s) Director?

Paid support staff positions include:

  • Aquatics Assistant (Lifeguard)
  • Challenge Course Director (high/low ropes & giant swing)
  • Facilities Maintenance Assistant
  • Health & Wellness Assistant
  • Kitchen Assistant
  • Resident (Overnight) Camp Counselor

Volunteer positions include:

  • Assistant Counselor
  • Day Camp Counselor
  • Camp Nurse
  • Program Specialist (archery, handcrafts, other)

Teen Leadership Opportunities

Teen leadership opportunities are available at both Camp Dart-Lo and Camp Sweyolakan. Opportunities for teens at our summer camps are based on grade level in the fall. Some opportunities can help pay for camp, others are considered camp programs, so fees apply.

We always need talented individuals to help us with projects around our camps. Do you have skills in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, etc.? We would love your help!
