Teens In Action

The principles of Teens In Action are based on youth-adult partnerships and learning through empowering experiences. Its intent is to build strong ties between the teens and their families, schools and communities, and put a spotlight on issues of concern for youth. This program is based on the concept that young people are the key to the future and are making a difference in the world.

In Teens In Action, young people can have fun, relax with their friends, work with caring adults, and at the same time stand up for something they believe in. They exchange ideas, discuss issues, determine community needs, develop strategies to address them and participate in decisions that govern the organization. Teens In Action groups’ research and select service-learning challenges they wish to tackle.

Teens In Action programs are available at most middle schools throughout our
community and are open to boys and girls at the middle school level. High
School volunteers are also welcome to help facilitate the groups.
