    Camp Sweyolakan
    Sweyolakan Resident and Day Camp is situated on the shores of Mica Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene. The camp is completely secluded and accessible only by boat. With over 5,000 feet of shoreline, Sweyolakan enjoys 2 large sandy beaches and over 300 acres of forested hillside.

    Camp is for boys and girls, grades 1-12 and individuals with special needs until age 25. Campers are in small groups and placed in units by grades. Meals are served family style and there is always room around the campfire. It is no wonder that Sweyolakan has been a summer haven for over 90 years.

  • Program
    Sweyolakan provides both day and resident programs. Outbackers (day camp) has 7 one-week sessions that run Monday thru Friday. Resident camp offers sessions of 1-, 4-, 7- and 11-nights. Campers enjoy progression-based programming in outdoor skills, swimming, and specialized activities. Sweyolakan is surrounded by water, all campers receive a boat ride to camp.

    Camp Sweyolakan provides meals, summer lodging, and free laundry facilities for staff members in addition to salary. Camp Fire reserves the right to combine or not fill any position and to modify job descriptions as needed. Personnel policies will be provided upon hiring.

    Preferred candidates for all positions should be at least 18 and be at least 1 year out of high school. Some positions have other age requirements.

    EACH STAFF APPLICANT will need:

    PC Users:  You will need the most current version of Adobe Reader, available by clicking ADOBE Link.

    MAC Users: You may have less difficulties if you download the following software to download and edit the interactive forms: MAC Software

    ALL USERS: You may enter the information into the forms, print and submit by either FAX or regular mail. You may also scan and email the forms.
