Camps For Kids

In 2011, more than ever, we  received requests for financial assistance  from families who wished to send their children to summer camp but were not be able to afford it. Through generous grants from Northeast Kiwanis club members, individual donors, community leaders and organizations, we were able to provide financial assistance to over 175 children year.

Camps for Kids recognizes the value of resident camp programs in providing educational and emotional growth, environmental awareness, leadership experience and training, exposure to healthy lifestyles and respect for diversity. The regional community partnership was established in February 2004 to provide the opportunity for broader recognition and understanding of the importance of Camp programs for our local youth. Through Camps for Kids, we can give our kids the gift of a great summer, plus an unforgettable and invaluable life experience.
