Special Needs – You bet I CAN! (YBIC)
Camp Fire is open to everyone. The uniqueness of every individual and family is embraced every day. We run an inclusive program that focuses on building skills and gaining self-esteem as part of the outdoor experience. We want every child to have the opportunity to participate in camp. Campers with ANY sort of special need are encouraged to attend any of our camp sessions. We are a legacy partner of the National Inclusion Project – Lets ALL Play program. Your camper will have the opportunity to say “You bet I CAN!” (YBIC) and participate in all of our camp activities alongside their peers, ages 6 – 21. Selected sessions will have additional qualified staff brought in to work with a larger population and variety of our campers with special needs.
Sandbox Unit [Preschool minimum age 3] Active learning and social skill development through outdoor play. Just the right combination of time-honored activities and new adventures for our youngest campers to experience success.Campers are expected to be toilet-trained. We understand an occasional accident may happen. Please describe any exceptional circumstances on the required Pre-Camp Questionnaire. Sandbox Campers will need to be dropped off & picked up at camp.

Campers can learn and improve archery skills (grades 4 and up) or participate in a variety of teambuilding activities. There is so much to learn and do at Dart-Lo — the highlight of your summer… and your childhood.
