Dart-Lo Day Camp is located on the Little Spokane River about 10 miles north of downtown Spokane. Camp occupies 51 hilly, semi-wooded acres and has a state-of-the-art outdoor pool complex.
Campers
Camp is for boys and girls, grades K - 9 and preschoolers. Camp capacity is 200 youth per week. Campers attend one or more sessions and some attend all summer. Two sessions each summer provide opportunities for children with special needs (called "You Bet I Can"). Campers are grouped by grade level and assigned to a shelter. Ages of camper groups vary each session. Preschool program structure varies slightly.
Program
The summer is divided into 9 one-week sessions that run Monday thru Friday. Campers enjoy progression-based programming in outdoor skills, swimming, and specialized activities. Traditional activities include crafts, hiking, games, singing, archery, outdoor cooking, team building, challenge course, etc. Out of camp adventures include canoeing, overnights, horseback riding and excursions. Campers enjoy daily bus rides to and from camp.
Candidates for all positions should be at least 18 and preferred to be at least 1 year out of high school. Some positions have other age requirments.
