You Want to Be A Leader?
So you're interested in being part of a leadership team, but aren't
really sure what that entails? It's easy!
OBJECTIVE
To provide leadership and guidance to boys and girls by implementing the
Camp Fire USA program.
ACCOUNTABLE TO
District Chair and the District/Program Chair.
TIME COMMITMENT
Averages approximately three (3) hours weekly for one school year.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Assist boys and girls in planning and carrying out a Camp Fire
club program.
Plan and hold REGULAR club meetings.
Maintain accurate club records (money, awards, etc.)
Provide a safe environment and insured transportation.
Communicate with parents and seek their assistance.
Abide by Camp Fire Code of Conduct.
Encourage youth and adults to participate in the council's annual
candy sale.
- Secure responsible Club Candy Chair.
- Train parents and members on all facets of sale.
If unable to continue, actively seek a replacement.
REQUIREMENTS
Become registered members of the council.
Establish a "leader of record." This person is the council's
primary contact with the club and MUST BE 18 or older.
Obtain at least one additional adult member for the leadership
team.
Attend program trainings.
Register all club members.
Know and abide by Camp Fire policies and procedures.
Inform Council of change in address, telephone, leadership, etc.
Submit annual financial report to council by June 30.
