Out-of-Camp Trips Foster Independence
Extra Spicy Options are out of camp trips that add a little extra to the camp experience. These activities help build character, challenge your child's ability to adapt to new environments, meet other children their age, and create opportunities to gain independence while having a lot of fun! When possible, camper groups go together, but sometimes participate with children from other groups.
These trips are optional, but we encourage campers attending multiple sessions or with a particular interest in the activity to sign up. The options below are available on specific sessions and the fees are in addition to the program fees. Make sure to sign up on the registration form for the option(s) you want your child to participate in.
SANDBOX CAMPERS
Ages 3-5
Fun at the Farm - Fee: $5 Visit the Mini Acres farm. Feed the chickens, meet the horses, and socialize with the ducks. 1-hour program. Min 6, max 8.

KINDERGARTEN AND UP
Weekly Dart-Lo Overnight Stay at camp; enjoy evening program, extra swim, cookout dinner and breakfast. Day of overnight varies.

Lake Coeur d'Alene Overnight Fee: $45 Spend the night at Camp Sweyolakan. Eat in the Dining Hall, sleep under the stars, swing in the trees, and cruise on the kayaks. Day of overnight varies. Min. 8, max. 13.

Manito Park & Botanical Gardens Fee: $7 Experience the many gardens of this Spokane gem. Min. 13, max. 27.
|
Mobius Children's Museum $10 Hands on science, arts, and cultural education right in our own backyard. Min. 13, max. 27.
|
Cat Tails Zoological Park Fee $12 Big cats right here in Washington. Spend the day visiting them and learning about how a zoo works. Min 13, max. 27.

Branch Out Bring a friend to camp for a day! Barbecue lunch included.

2ND GRADE AND UP
Wild Waters Swim, slide & splash the day away! Min. 13, max. 27.

Silverwood Theme Park and Overnight Spend the day adventuring the theme park and enjoy a night under the stars at Camp Dart-Lo. Min. 8, max. 13.

Mt Spokane Adventure Day Trip Fee: $10 We are going to go exploring and see what we uncover on Mt. Spokane. Min. 13, max. 27.

Introduction to Horses $10 Visit the Mini-Acres farm and learn about safety and caring for horses. Min. 6, max 8.

Behind the Scenes at Longhorn BBQ Fee: $12 See what it takes to make finger lickin' good BBQ in the Inland Northwest. Min. 13, max. 27.

Riverfront Park Trip Fee: $15 Ride the attractions, enjoy a picnic in the park, and catch an IMAX movie. Min. 13, max. 27.

4TH GRADE AND UP
Horse Camp Fee: $100 Three 4-hour sessions; riding lessons, horse education and care. Additional permission required. Min. 6, max. 8. Session 6 (July 21-25) Session 8 (Aug 4-8) |
Horseback Riding Arena riding and basic horse care. Additional permission required. Min. 6, max. 8. Session 1 (June 16-20) Session 5 (July 14-18) |
Advanced Horseback Riding Fee: $35 Think you know your way around horses? Take it one step further. Must have pre-approved riding experience. Additional permission required. Min. 6, max. 8.

Laser Quest "Laser & Mazes" Program Fee: $20 An exciting 2 hour program that explores the fascinating world of laser beams and mazes. Includes hands on experience, live demonstrations and 2 games of laser tag. Min. 13, max. 27. Session 6 (July 21-25) |
Little Spokane River Kayak/or Canoe Trip Grab your paddle, we are heading down the Little Spokane River! Min. 8, max. 11. Kayak Trip:
