Our Vision

Camp Fire's Goal:

To work with all segments of the Council's communities to ensure that all children have access to:

  • Ongoing relationships with caring adults;
  • Safe places with structured activities during non-school hours;
  • Healthy starts through self-reliance courses;
  • Marketable skills and competencies education and youth development;
  • Opportunities to give back to their communities through service.

Camp Fire USA also believes that:

  • While parents have the primary responsibility for their children, programs that support their efforts strengthen the ability of the family, whatever its structure, to raise healthy children, productive workers and responsible citizens.
  • A pro-active, asset based approach to youth development benefits young people, families, and communities. Children are assets to be encouraged, not problems to be fixed.

Services for children in need include:

  • Financial assistance available for membership, program and camp fees;
  • Programs offered for minimal cost on school holidays to low income families;
  • Youth program discounts available to adult volunteers at that program.
