About

Founded in 1914, Camp Fire USA Inland Northwest Council’s programs include youth leadership, after school groups, camping and environmental education.

The Inland Northwest Council is one of the largest in the country, providing programs for boys and girls ages 3-18 in 18 counties in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Today our Council serves over 4,000 children each year in clubs, after school programs, and at our day and resident summer camps: Camp Sweyolakan,  and Camp Aowakiya.  We also have Camp Dart-Lo available for rental, as well as limited dates for both Aowakiya and Sweyolakan.

Camp Fire USA builds caring, confident youth and future leaders.

Camp Fire is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. IRS determination letter on request.

History of the organization

As one of the nations largest youth development agencies, Camp Fire has a long and rich history. Find out about national and local history here.

Our future

Camp Fire USA National turned 100 in 2010. A century of integrity, responsibility. We build more than campfires. 2014 will mark the 100 year anniversary of Camp Fire USA Inland Northwest Council.

What we do

Our purpose is to provide opportunities for children and youth, and those who care for them, to realize their potential and become caring, self-directed individuals, responsible to themselves and others; and to improve those conditions in society that affect children, youth and their families.
